Website Images and Colours

All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the Company.

Reproduction of colours is as accurate as possible, but please note colours in-store may vary slightly from what is displayed on your monitor. All weights and dimensions of products mentioned are approximate.

Placing an order

When you place an order through the Website, we will send an email to confirm that we have received the order. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions. We cannot accept an order until payment has been received in full for all products and any related delivery charges.

Orders placed through the Website represent an offer to purchase a product. When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. Order is accepted for each product when we send you another email (“Customer Invoice E-mail”) to confirm that the order has been received. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.

All orders are subject to stock availability. If we are unable to supply any products that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. If we cannot fulfil the order, we will refund any payments we have received from you as soon as possible and within 14 days.

Our Contract

AL HELOU Furniture retains the right to accept or reject offer before processing the order. A contract between us for the purchase of our products will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us, the prices have been verified, and the order has been processed. An email will be sent confirming these arrangements.

Price and Payment Terms

Prices and payment details are specified on the website or in the Store. Prices are shown in Australian dollars which are specified on the website are inclusive of G.S.T. Payments services are offered on the site via third party payment gateways. All payments are subject to the provider’s terms and conditions.

Payment can be made through payment gateway facilities and we also except eftpos in store; including Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit. Payments may take 24 hours to process after the placement of an order. All goods ordered must be paid in full before a delivery is scheduled.

The User guarantees that the information submitted when using the Service, including without limitation, its payment details, billing address and telephone number – the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you; shall be complete, correct, truthful and up to date. The User must inform AL HELOU Furniture immediately about any inaccuracies in the offer provided or the payment details described, including the price.

Loss or Damage in transit

Non-delivery must be notified to the Company in writing within 24 hours from the date under the Contract. Damage to goods or any shortfall must be notified in writing by the Customer to the Company within 48 hours of delivery. The Company shall be entitled to make good any shortage or non-delivery of the goods.

Failure by the Customer to comply with Conditions will render void any possible claim of any nature against the Company.

Title and risk in goods

Title and Risk of damage or loss to the products shall pass to you (the “Customer”) on delivery, whether or not a signature of receipt has been obtained:

  • where the goods are collected by or on behalf of the Customer the risk shall pass immediately upon collection; or
  • where the Customer wrongfully fails to take delivery, risk shall pass to the Customer at the time when the Company has tendered delivery of the goods.
  • we do not cover any damages that arise during transportation.


We reserve the right to cancel any orders received if the goods are permanently out of stock or at any time before the Goods are delivered. You will be notified via e-mail and your credit/debit card will be credited with the full amount of your order including any delivery costs.

A customer may cancel the order made within 24 hours of placing an order, except Custom made items. To make a cancellation, you must notify us of the cancellation by e-mailing or by writing before the accepted timescale has passed, to:


A delivery/collection note signed by you is proof of delivery/collection of the goods. We shall reasonably endeavour to deliver the goods on the date stated in the order acknowledgement, but such dates are reasonable estimates only and the time for delivery shall not be of the essence.

We will not be liable to you for any unforeseeable loss, damage or expense you suffer which arises directly or indirectly from any delay in delivery of the goods which arises from circumstances outside of our control. It may take up to 6-21 business days, however, you will be advised as soon as your goods are ready for delivery. Our delivery team will aim to contact you 24-48 hours before the date of delivery.

In the event that the Company is unable for any reason to fulfil any delivery of the goods on any estimated delivery date the Company shall not be deemed to be in breach of contract or have any liability to the Customer.

Failure by AL HELOU Furniture to supply any one or more instalments on any estimated delivery date or any claim by the Customer in respect of goods delivered in any one or more instalments shall not entitle the Customer either to treat the Contract as a whole as repudiated or to reject or refuse to take delivery of any of the goods delivered in any other instalment.

If the Customer fails to take delivery of the goods or fails to give the Company adequate instructions for delivery, permission and/or access, then, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to the Company, the Company may store the goods until actual delivery and charge the Customer for the reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage and re-delivery Fees. Failure to collect/accept goods within 30 days from the arrival date may result in forfeiture of monies paid or the customer being charged 30% storage fee per month compounded.  Items under “Free Delivery” agreement, we will organise the delivery of the products upon full payment of invoice

The delivery contractor will ask you to inspect the goods and sign for receipt in good condition. The delivery contractor will not take away packaging material, and in any case it is essential that you retain this should the goods need to be returned.

Change of Mind returns

We want you to feel confident when buying on Should you change your mind about a purchase you have made with us, you have the option of cancelling for a refund within 24 hours of placing the order. Change of mind refunds/return on items after 24 hours of placing an order, will attract 25% of restocking fee on total purchase price of the product. Refunds can only be processed back onto the card where payment was originally taken from.

Return eligibility:

We require the returned product(s) to be unused and in the original packaging. Any items that are not returned to us in the original packaging and/or in original condition will incur an additional handling fee (deducted from your refund). This also includes not packing the item up sufficiently to avoid damage in transit back to us. Please use the packing material the item was sent with.

Items that were in clearance on the date of purchase are not eligible for a change of mind return. Items in clearance present a *FINAL SALE* badge. We do not return, refund or exchange if you change your mind for Customised (leather type, size, colour) orders, SALE (including as is condition, damaged or defective, faulty, ex-display and second-hand) items; immediately after placing an order.

You may also be required to fill in a return form provided by us in order to proceed with the return process. Once we receive the items, we will fully refund you the amount you paid for the product(s) less the inbound and outbound shipping costs.

Damaged or faulty returns

You need to notify AL HELOU Furniture as soon as possible in the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or faulty. Please submit a damage / faulty return request to our Customer Care Team. In order to assist the return process, you may be required to provide additional information. Please do not attempt to return the items before speaking to one of our Customer Care Team (you may be responsible for any associate expenses if you do so).

If after the preliminary assessment our Customer Care agent assess and approve the return, we will contact you to proceed with the return process. Depending on if it is minor or major defect, AL HELOU Furniture will arrange a replacement or give you a store credit or rebate of part or all of the Product price.

It does not constitute a defect, if in our reasonable opinion, the Product has, following the sale to you, become of unacceptable quality due to fair wear and tear, misuse, failure to use in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, using it in an abnormal way or failure to take reasonable care.

The customer shall inspect the Goods on delivery and shall within 24 hours of delivery notify AL HELOU Furniture through online claim form, of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with the description or quote.  we will file all claims for replacement of damaged or defective furniture should the product arrive with a problem. We only require you to follow a few procedures that are required in the claims process.

AL HELOU Furniture Lay-By Agreement

AL HELOU Furniture Lay-by sales are governed by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 for Australia. A deposit to the value of 30% of the total purchase price is required to begin a lay-by and will only dispatch the customer’s products only after receiving the final instalments.

Payments are to be made fortnightly. AL HELOU Furniture Lay-by sales covers a maximum of 12 months’ period (52 weeks). Failure to complete payments in the specified time makes the goods, any payments made and the deposit liable for forfeiture if considered reasonable in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. In AL HELOU Furniture sole consideration a late payment fee of $50 may be charged in respect of each payment you fail to make on-time. Any payment default may also result in our debt collection service contacting you and/or your credit score being affected.

A lay-by can be cancelled by the purchaser but may result in forfeiture of some moneys paid if it is deemed reasonable in accordance with the Consumer Law. Keeping in mind that furniture is a large item which incurs considerable costs for freight and storage.  If lay-by’s are not picked up by the specified date a storage fee of $30 per week may be charged.

The Customer has to be a resident in Australia and are at least 18 years old. However, before you can use Lay-by service, you need to provide us with your full name, residential address, email address and your mobile number.

Interest Free Terms

Available to approved customers only, AL HELOU Furniture’s standard terms and conditions of purchase otherwise apply. Monthly payments must be made during the interest free period. Offer available on the advertised or ticketed price. 

Optional Tools

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any influence nor input. You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may also, in the future, provide new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms and conditions.

Errors will be corrected when discovered. our Site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on our Site may be incorrectly priced, the quantity or availability of a product may have changed just prior to you placing your order or other errors may be displayed on the product page. We will normally verify prices, availability and confirm there are no errors on the product page as part of our dispatch procedures.

Where a product’s correct price is less than our stated +price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the product to you. If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our Site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you an Order Confirmation.

Our liability for defective goods will be limited at your option to (a) replacing the goods or (b) rectifying such defects at our own expense (provided that you give Us full facilities at all reasonable times to remedy such defects).
